Questions from today’s speaker. You can use some of these in Growth Groups or alone:

Read through 1 Peter 1:3-9.

We’ve been following the story of Peter over the last 3 months…

  • What events in Peter’s life have particularly stuck in your mind & why?
  • From what you know, how would you describe Peter’s character?
    • How can his characteristics be strengths or weaknesses?
  • In what ways do/don’t you relate to Peter?
    • Have there been episodes in your life that have felt similar to Peter’s?
    • How do you think you’ve grown closer or further from God as a result?
  • What are the key messages that Peter writes to the scattered suffering Christians in this part of his letter?
    • What key messages do you think God would want to write to you as you reflect on your life?

What can I pray for?

  • Continue to pray for Ukraine.
    • Tearfund have provided a guide on how to pray, which you may find helpful here
  • As we think of Peter reflecting on his life, pray especially for the elderly people in our church
  • Pray for our community, that many people would discover the joy that Jesus brings this Easter

As well as praying, you could take some Easter invitations and share them with friends or deliver them to neighbours
